Meet Dr. Godwin

Oral Surgeon in Pittsburgh PA

Dr. Scott Godwin is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native who attended the Pennsylvania State University for his undergraduate education.  He attended Barry University and earned a master’s degree in biomedical science graduating at the top of his class.  Afterward, he received his DMD from Midwestern University in Chicago and went on to graduate from residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh PA. 

Dr. Godwin is trained in dentoalveolar surgery including complex bone grafting and implant surgery with office-based anesthesia, TMJ  surgery and prosthetic replacements, traumatic facial reconstruction, benign pathology such as tumors and cysts, and corrective jaw surgery.

In his free time, Dr. Godwin enjoys fishing, boating, snowboarding, and traveling

Dr. Godwin is trained in advanced dentoalveolar surgery including implants, bone grafting and management of temporomandibular joint disorders.  He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS), and has participated in multiple community outreach programs and mission trips in the U.S. and internationally.
